I have a question and I’m curious about the answers. Since I’m going to present it in many places, if you meet it more than once, please forgive me. Answer once unless you come up with some more ideas you would like to share. So…
If storytelling is the answer or the remedy, what is the question or the problem?
Thanks in advance,
I think stories (telling and listening) help answer the question: Who are we?
How do we move past Einstein’s challenge? How do we survive in a world where human kind has used science to master the physical world?
Are you referring to the same person who said:
“If you want your children to be intelligent, read them fairy tales. If you want them to be more intelligent, read them more fairy tales.”
“When I examine myself and my methods of thought, I come to the conclusion that the gift of fantasy has meant more to me than any talent for abstract, positive thinking.”

we can survive by telling and listening more to stories. many science people love to listen to stories.when i tell stories to a group of persons and amongst them are science people, they are the first to smile or seems to be with me in the story. i ask this questions to my sister in law an to my boy- she is a master physicist and he a aficioned mathematics with a BA and dreaming to be a doctor in it, they both answerd- stories are the most beautifull break time to breath.
i have another question: how can we conquer the television and switch this law entertainment that make people so stupid.
Who am I (like the Who are we above)? Why am I/are we here? What is the meaning of existence? What is it like to be human? How can I/we lead a purposeful life?
I’m sure other disciplines will make the same claim 🙂 maybe I need to find the way to narrow it down… I’ve got some answers on a different platform, I’ll go and bring them over here.
I’m going to do something else. News coming soon…
The question: How do we live as if we really believed we were part of an interdependent web of life?
Hi Cathryn,
Welcome. Interesting question. If you have the time, could you elaborate about “interdependent web of life”?
Regards,
If storytelling is the answer or remedy, what is the question or problem?

Question: Why is the fish in the water thirsty?
Another question: why does the bird sing? 🙂
